Hello! Just wondering what you used to make your lagertha cosplay. Did you use craft foam? Fabric? Leather? It looks really awesome and I'd like to try replicating it :)

Hi! Thanks!! I used upholstery grade faux leather and suede, also used thin craft foam covered in the same material for the belt / waist cincher.

To be honest the upholstery material was really hard to work with and weathering it took a lot of elbow grease. In retrospect even though I was really happy with the final product I would probably choose to work with a different type of material if I were to do it again. Unless you have an industrial sewing machine you will have to hand sew everything. Which is what I did. A regular machine can’t handle the material. It’s also not forgiving if you make a mistake. Once there is a needle hole in it it’s there for good.

Good luck in making your costume! I’d love to see pics when you are done!

Been in Sweden since Monday. I’m so happy I don’t know what to do with myself!

I am absolutely in love with your dany cosplay!! could you tell me where your belt is from???

Thank you!!! I actually made the belt myself. I used an x-acto blade and cut it out from heavy pliable plastic. Then Inapray painted it gold and made and attached the beads at the front. It took forever!
